Important Hotel Information

  • Hallway remodeling of the West and East side of Montego Bay will begin on Nov 28, 2010. Montego Bay is the building across from the Peppermill Tower. Anticipated completion is Dec 23, 2010. Hallway remodeling for the Middle section of this building will also start on Jan 2, 2011, and is scheduled to be completed on Jan 20, 2011. Work will be done over normal daytime business hours. Peppermill will make every effort to minimize possible noise disturbance.
  • Guests must be at least age 21 to check in.

    My family had a good stay at the Peppermill but the staff needs some training. First of all the rooms are very nice. However, we requested a non-smoking room--they had none available. They did use an ionizer that did work well but we had to wait an hour before we could go in and it did still have a slight smell of smoke. We went to get a gelato while we waited for the room. The lady behind the counter took other guest who arrived after us and my son asked for a strawberry to which she snidely replied "I'll have to charge you extra" like we could not afford it after paying for the overly priced handmaid Gelato ice creams.

    The hotel was beautiful and clean. the restaurant biscotti's was very good. the front desk employees were overwhelmed and needed more help. the well drinks at the casino bars ...

    The hotel was beautiful and clean. The restaurant Biscotti's was very good. The front desk employees were overwhelmed and needed more help. The well drinks at the casino bars were way overpriced. Some of the staff in the casino and spa were very rude and unfriendly. They seemed like they didn't want to be there, and were very annoyed with customers in general. Very unfortunate since the actual architecture and location of the hotel was nice.

    We were very excited to be staying at the Peppermill, especially after looking at their website. While the resort itself did meet our expectations, we were very disppointed in our room and the customer service. We prepaid our room...three nights. When we checked in on Friday, they gave our room away...we booked a king non-smoking...the only room left was a 2-double smoking in the Montego Bay section...which is the old section. It was late, so we took it that night with the request that our room be changed on Saturday. We called Saturday morning, nothing was available yet, so they said to check back. We checked back early that evening and they said that they had given our room away, again, because we did not check with them...what??? They never specified a time we had to check by. They offered to move us on Sunday, but at that point, why? So we just stuck it out and will not ever go back again...which is a shame because the resort itself looked great.

    When my wife and I finally arrived at the Peppermill there were no clear directions on how to check in thankfully some locals showed us the way. We got to the front desk to check in and were informed that the room we booked 3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE may not be available. The desk clerk then checked us into a room. We went to find our room before dragging our bags to it first only to find that someone else was already in that room. We went back to the desk and informed them that there was already someone in that room. We stood at the desk for almost 20 minutes before a different clerk upgraded our room from the Montego Bay wing to the Tuscan Towers wing. The fact that we paid for a room 3 months in advance and the room was not reserved for us is disturbing. How is it they can take your money and NOT have a room available for you? MY SUGGESTION IS DONT STAY HERE. PRICES FOR EVERYTHING HERE ARE OUTRAGEOUS.
